With the arrival of winter, immediately following summer (where did autumn go?), we hightailed it back to California. It was not a spur of the moment decision, but rather a long-thought conclusion which seemed to be the best of many options. Among the factors which drove us home (at least for now) were extreme cold weather in the areas we had yet to see, Brant's sister's wedding, a bit of camper fever, and dwindling fundage. Plus, we missed our folks and our old friends. So after a rainy weekend spent exploring Taos, New Mexico, we drove a straight shot to L.A. and have been working on our road shock ever since. Amidst the holidays and the general craziness of returning from an eight-month absence, we're holing up in central Cali with our friend Jason on his ranch. The rig is settled in on the side of the ranch house, enjoying a well-deserved rest. We still missed a lot of the U.S., so we will be venturing out in chapter two to catch the rest. Until then, we want to live vicariously through you! Please, share your stories with us. For those of you whom we befriended on the road, stay in touch! We're going to throw a big ole party in the spring, and all the road trippers are invited! For those of you whom we've not yet met, drop us a line...we'll journey with you. In positive motion, |
