Jensen Hills - Jensen, Utah ![]() Sometimes great riding spots are off the beaten path. But once and awhile you find a mountainous playground right off the highway. Jensen Hills on Hwy 40 in Utah starts as close to the road as possible. A small dirty turnoff right after highway marker 156 is where the adventure begins. The terrain is trails winding up and down rolling hills. There was a motorcross track in the middle "flatlands" of the area. The dirt was firm with rocky areas at the higher elevations. ![]() Like any riding spot, the locals know all the area secrets. We met up with a group of riders, Jimmy, Jeremy, Chris, & Dace, who helped us understand the area. If you end up riding here, ask for their directions, as they were more than helpful. They also told us of other areas to ride in the surrounding terrain, most notably Devil's Playground, Honda Hills, and Fantasy Canyon. Ask any of the locals and they should be able to point you in the right direction. ![]() Note: This riding area backs right up against Dinosaur National Monument - an area that has revealed more dinosaur fossils than most anywhere in the world. It is quite a cool concept to image T-rex and Stegasaurous running over the same terrain that we now speed over on our motorcycles. |
