River Rafting ![]() The Green River: world-renowned for it's fishing, it is also host to some great entry-level white water rafting. We picked up some two-person kayaks (although they also offer six and eight person rafts), and had a day of adventure on the river. The seven-mile stretch that is self-guided hosts Class I and II rapids, and the flow of water is much faster in the summer months. (4000+ Cubic Feet per Minute versus 2000CFM in the winter.) There are spots along the way to pull off and picnic or fish, and the scenery throughout the entire stretch is gorgeous. ![]() Rafting exit at Little Hole. Flaming Gorge Recreation Services offers a shuttle to take you to your vehicle from three different sections of the river. Additionally, they offer guided fishing trips, a wealth of gear, and excellent advice about anything you'd want to do on the Green River or in the Flaming Gorge Reservoir. Be sure to make reservations well in advance for weekend rafting trips from May to September, as they book up fast. ![]() Kayak Rental: $39/day 6-Man Raft: $49/day 8-Man Raft: $69/day Season: Year-round (best in summer) Info: 435.889.3773 or www.fglodge.com ![]() |
