Beaver Creek Resort - Avon

Beaver Creek, North America's Grand Mountain Resort, truly deserves its title. With high-speed quads and epic boarding linking Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch, and Arrowhead, the resort features European-style Village-to-Village skiing. Not only does Beaver Creek Village have a myriad of shops and unique restuarants, it is also home to the 530-seat Vilar Center for the Performing Arts and a year-round ice-skating rink.

On the mountain, the variety of terrain is fantastic. Beaver Creek has areas tailored to all sorts of ski experiences, from families to hard-core boarders, and the resort is laid out in such a way that all brands of snow enthusiasts are more than satisfied. There are areas all around the mountain designated as kid zones, bumps on all degrees of steeps, long groomed runs and many terrain areas for all levels of skier and snowboarder. The big whopper park on Moonshine is complete with every type of snow shape you can imagine, plus rails and logs and a long, wide half-pipe.

Beaver Creek also maintains a large area called McCoy Park at the top of one of their peaks specifically for cross-country and snowshoe trackers. Large open meadows and beautiful overlooks make this an incredible area to explore. During the height of the ski season, Beaver Creek hosts Thursday Night Lights, where competent skiers and boarders are invited to join in a torchlight parade, followed by a fireworks show.

Beaver Creek places an emphasis on welcoming visitors and making them feel at home. The village at the base of the mountain is accessible directly from the snow, and the hill itself is wonderfully varied, providing terrain for whatever suits your fancy.
