Mt. Rose - Reno

We couldn't have been more impressed. Mt. Rose, just 25 minutes from Reno, had everything we could ask for and more. To start, the SNOW was EPIC. Mt. Rose has the highest base elevation (8,260') of all the resorts in the Tahoe area. This creates the lightest and driest powder we have found anywhere in Nevada or California. With an average snowfall of over 500", we were blessed with powder for our session.


The 1000 acres and 1500 vertical feet of Mt. Rose left us with freshies well into the afternoon. The mountain has beatiful vistas of Lake Tahoe, Washoe Lake, and the desert around Reno. Get up to Mt. Rose, you will not be disappointed. I would rate Mt. Rose as a must ski/board resort in the Tahoe area. EPIC!
