Clear Creek - Seabrook

Our first wakeboarding session of the trip was behind Neal Ramsey's beautiful boat — thanks Neal & Bevin. The Clear Creek area is a slough about 150' to 200' feet across. It changes directions and many areas are protected from wind by dense trees on the shore. The water is brackish (fresh & salt water mix) and was as glassy as the bathtub we didn't bring on the road with us.

Water temp during the spring/summer/fall is in the high 70's and 80's. This area can get crowded with cabin cruisers and jet ski's on weekends and afternoons so early morning and late night sessions are when you will score the place to yourself. There are miles of waterways to board in the area. The locals were super friendly and hooking up with them can score you secret spots. Hint: there is a water park (rails, jumps, boxes, etc.) at one end of Clear Creek.

Directions: Boat launch is on Nasa Rd 1 about 1.5 miles west of Hwy 146, on the south side of the road. Ask the dock crew for exact directions on how to get back to the Clear Creak area (it is just about 2 miles from the launch to the nortwest). Board hard.
