A says: First taste of the deep south. Of course at the root of our Louisiana experience was Nawleans, which is a city which overdosed on Jolt. It's a weird combination of lewd drunks charging the streets alongside those dressed to the nines for sampling the gourmet. Coolest observation in N.O. was that age didn't matter...there were drunks and freaks and happy, crazy, dancing, drinking folk of all ages from legal right on up to almost dead.

B says: Everything bayou. From barbecued alligator-on-a-stick, to Cajun & Creole cuisine, swamp land galore... it is truly a different world from everywhere we have visited so far. And New Orleans never sleeps. Any night of the year you can find at least a dozen live bands on Bourbon St. and masses of happy, smiling people.
