A says: There only for an instant, Wyoming showed us her backside. Along a lonely strip of highway that timidly ran through the southwest corner of a state that boasts the Grand Tetons, part of Yellowstone, and Jackson Hole, we saw the pale clay desert of W. Bare of trees and majestic mountains, but rampant with earth sculptures, it was as if the earth was in a rolling boil when someone pushed the pause button.

B says: Welcome to the moon! I did double-takes from alongside the highway — this scenery can't be on earth. What an immense state with so few people. You could spend months here just finding all the hidden treasures. Great place for a dual-sport bike and a GPS.

* we couldn't find a "Welcome to Wyoming" sign to photograph - so we made one.

Our travels through Wyoming were brief at best - but we are coming back through soon.
